Freedom is one of the most appealing ideas in human life. It suggests autonomy, control, and the ability to shape one’s own path without limitation. People often believe they are free because they can make choices—what to say, where to go, how to act. On the surface, this appears to be true. However, this understanding of freedom is incomplete. While individuals can choose their actions, they cannot choose the system within which those actions operate. True freedom does not exist in isolation; it exists within constraint.
